More Truth About Love And How To Get Closer To God – The Importance of Purity of Heart

There are a lot of misconceptions about love and purity of heart out there. Love is not just a feeling – it’s an action. And in order to get closer to God, you need more than just good intentions – you need purity of heart.

In this blog post, we’ll explore what that means and how you can achieve it. But first, let’s debunk some myths about love…

Love is not what you see in the movies – it’s often messy and complicated

Love often isn’t what we see in the movies – it’s not a neat, linear progression and can take many unexpected twists and turns. In our culture, romance and love have become commercialized, leading us to believe that all we need is ‘happily ever after’, when really it takes genuine effort and intention to make a relationship successful.

The truth is, with every journey comes struggles – especially when it comes to love. With an open heart and the proper intention, seeing past individual differences becomes easier and opens each of us to higher purpose. Despite the messiness of relationships, if we choose God‘s plan for us we can persevere through adversity towards a closer relationship with God.

Purity of heart

You can’t control who you fall in love with, but you can control your purity of heart

We often find ourselves with no control over who we might fall in love with, as it can feel like something entirely out of our hands. However, there is a way to maintain control – by keeping our intentions pure. With proper focus and dedication, everyone has the potential to get closer to God and build stronger spiritual relationships. Though we may not be able to decide who comes into our life, we can decide how purposeful and meaningful those moments are by embracing genuine intentions.

Purity of heart is essential to get closer to God – it allows Him to work through you more easily

Approaching God with a pure and honest heart will certainly open the door for Him to work through us in more meaningful ways. It’s like a pathway has been forged from our spirit to His, allowing Him the opportunity to bless us with the mercy, love and guidance we desire.

As his divine power works its magic, our hearts become more aligned with His perfect will so that eventually, they reflect what He desires them to be: glowing emblems of divine purity and grace.

Everyone has the potential to be pure of heart, regardless of their past mistakes or current situation

We all make mistakes, but don’t let that stop you from reaching spiritual perfection. Everyone has the potential to tap into their divine nature and embrace purity of heart; it may humble and challenge you, but the reward is a deep connection with God. That being said, what are we waiting for? There’s never been a better time than now to strive toward spiritual excellence, no matter your past or current station in life. Don’t hesitate to give it a shot!

There are many ways to become purer of heart, including prayer, meditation, and service to others

Prayer, meditation, and service to others can all bring us closer to God, but these activities also bring an added bonus – purity of heart. Each of these activities fosters deeper reflection and understanding of one’s relationships with their Creator, as well as how they interact with the world around them.

With more intention on taking steps towards living better lives inspired by God’s grace, we can focus our minds on improving ourselves and our place in the world. The only thing standing between us and increased divine connection is our own willingness to become purer of heart – it’s up to us!

As you become purer of heart, you will find that your relationship with God becomes deeper and more meaningful

As we journey through life, each of us has hopes of developing a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God. But what you may not have realized is that this connection can become even stronger with something as rewarding, yet simple, as having a purer heart. As your goal to be intentional and open in your devotions increases, it reflects outwardly with purity of actions, thoughts, and desires; taking right course in life. This creates an environment where both you and God can discover one another on a much more profound level. It’s well worth the effort!

More Truth – About Love

Last week I shared a truth about God’s love for you. Today I want to share some truth about love. Here on planet earth we come to look at love and dissect love and pull it apart and put it together again in our understanding. We love a little or a lot. We have all different degrees of love. The shirt we loved last year may have already been turned into a rag.

The person we swore to love may be long gone from our life. And then we put those attributes on God. That’s not fair and not truthful. God not only knows love, but God is love. Forever and eternally for you and everybody – no degrees – no levels – and no exceptions.

Many religions and teachers and spiritual practices urge you to aspire to the attributes of God, even though they may not be doing it themselves. Unfortunately many religions and teachers and spiritual practices are exclusive and judgmental. Don’t let that stop you from becoming inclusive and accepting and loving of all, because the advise is still sound – aspire to the attributes of God. And how about starting with the way you love?

In conclusion, while love is often more complicated than romantic films make it seem, it is possible to unlock its true potential. Through purity of heart, everyone can strengthen and deepen their relationship with God. And although we may have fallen short in the past or find ourselves in difficult situations now, we are all capable of being purer of heart.

Thankfully, there are numerous ways to achieve this such as prayer, meditation and service to others. So let’s focus on achieving purity at heart and in turn become closer to God. For only then will we be able to unlock the full potential of our relationships with Him and with each other.

Blessings, Elaine
